Answer by Ronnie I have a few similar buttons on my Keyboard. Some of them may not work becuase sometimes it does not automatically detect which drive to eject. You can set which drive you want it to eject by default, but unless you know what you are doing, I wouldn’t want to mess around with it. Besides, you should have an Eject Button on your Tower. That is probably for the people’s who’s eject button is either broken or inaccessible.
Find would probably be for when you are looking at word documents, and you want to find a specific word, you could use that button. Answer by ? Years ago I worked in a wedding invitation shop. To put a gold leaf look on the text in the wedding invitations, we would print on a laser printer/copier, put foil over the print and run through a heat machine which would “bake” the gold onto any area that had the black laser toner.
Maybe you could speak to a wedding invitation type place and see if they would be able to copy the footprints and gold foil the print. Hope that helps
Answer by felineroche Get rubber stamps made of the footprints. There are place online that do an A4 sheet of clear stamps at low cost. From a craft shop you will need one acrylic block to mount the stamps (as they can removed and replaced on the block) and a small gold ink pad. Small because the pad is raised and you just dab it lightly all over the upturned stamp. Staff at the craft shop can show you how to do this.
Gold ink looks best on a dark background. If you want to make it stand out more you can heat emboss the print using gold or gold sparkle embossing powder and a heat gun. Again ask the craft shop to demonstrate.

As for making your son’s copied footprints gold, there would be several ways to do it:
1. As mentioned by the answerer called “?,” there actually IS a way to “print” in gold or other metallic colors using “heat transfer foils” (you can do it yourself or have it done maybe even at Kinko’s or another print shop).
The foils will stick to anything sticky and one way to make something sticky is to print it out on a machine that uses “toner” (not inkjet ink), in other words using a photocopier or a laser printer. Then the foil can be adhered to the black parts of the image with heat (from running through a toner-based machine again since they use heat in the process of printing, or even with an iron, etc).
This site has a video on the basics, but uses a “laminator” to create the heat necessary (you could use the other ways):
You can also check out these sub-boards at Craftster for getting info about using transfer foils, though some of those will be non-metallics onto t-shirts, etc, but some of the same processes and they should know about the foils too:
2. You can also “cold” transfer those same foils by just making sure the image is drawn or copied with something that stays sticky or tacky, or at least for a while. In that case, no heat is needed with the foil is placed on the image, just pressure. Some of the things that will work (though may not be best for your kind of image?) would be hot glue (allowed to set), permanent white glues like Elmer’s GlueAll and many others, glycerin, ball point pen ink, “pigment” stamp pad inks, some colored “brush pens” used for stamping, and some special “clear” markers and pens sold for (hot) “embossing” which are basically filled with glycerin.
For some of those, the foil needs to be applied fairly quickly, but others will stay tacky for awhile. You’d just press the sheet of foil onto the image, press the foil down on the image areas, then remove. Most of the image would then be covered with the foil, but if not repeat with unused areas of foil on the unfoiled areas.
3. You could also use *embossing powders* along with heat (that’s called “hot embossing”) plus one of the sticky substances listed above. I believe the toner copy would also stay sticky for a short time so you could pour the embossing powder over the image (you’d use a gold embossing powder). Then you’d tap the paper to remove any powder not stuck to the image (and put back in the bottle), and apply a heat source to melt the powder into smooth lines and shapes (an embossing gun is often used, but can also be done over a lightbulb, etc).
It’s good that you have a scan of the footprints so that if you make any mistakes you’ll be able to try again with a fresh image!
And btw, the hot foil transfers even work for fabric so you could also do that. And the regular “transfer papers” that work with inkjet and/or toner printers and copiers can also be used without foil to make images on fabric in case you wanted to make a quilt or pillow or something else fabric with b&w white images of the footprints (which you could also combine with other images or techniques). Answer by mariner31 Avery paper-products who produces all the cool printer-paper things like business cards, etc has a package of “White, Printable Magnet Sheets, for Ink Jet Printers” that I bought several years back.
They stick to the fridge just fine and are easy to cut with standard scissors. It’s AVERY product # 3270, and you should be able to find them in any office-products store, or Mercury Drugs.

Answer by Kathy L This may sound silly, but if you find an old refrigerator you can take a craft knife and slit the rubber gasket around the door. Inside are long magnetic strips that help keep the door closed. You can cut these into the size you need. Use craft glue or hot glue gun to hold them on (just make sure the glue doesn’t “weep” thru). Free magnets! I have done this in the past with good results.

Answer by davelap8802 Try uninstalling the software completely, than install it again from scratch. If you have the cd use that and follow directions, usually it’s best to install without the printer hooked up until the install wizard asks for it, or after install is complete than reboot your system, plug the usb cord in and let windows do it’s thing.

i have one and it has been having problems too.
go to the lexmark webpage and download the driver for your model.
this will guide you through a setup and when your done reboot your pc and your printer should work fine.

I believe we had to remove “copies” of the printer from Windows “Printers & Faxes” screen and make sure your lexmark is the “default” printer. If your’re using Windows XP, click Start, control Panel and then the Printers & Faxes link. You will see what is currently setup on your computer.

Answer by oldtimekid2 Ooh, that’s a tough one. I would love to say “yes” or “no”… but it’s a more in depth answer of “kind of”. It’s not so much Wikipedia as it is the guidelines and restrictions that they’ve set up based on clinical studies and whatnot.
What I mean is that Wikipedia is edited by the general population, so they had to make guidelines that you need proof (books or websites) that were acceptable and unbiased and would have cited proof for what they say as well. Most of what would fall under that for treatments would be clinical studies and most of those guidelines are set up by the pharmaceutical companies.
The down side of that is that the pharmaceutical companies charge hugely exorbitant prices for their drugs, so they can afford to do huge studies with thousands of people for years on end… but supplement companies only charge a few dollars a bottle and have comparatively minimal mark-up. Even if the biggest supplement company were to take their entire year’s profit and run a controlled study that would live up to those expectations set by the pharmaceutical companies, they wouldn’t see much of that profit back. After all, they sell the same Vitamin C as every other company (each one dressed up a little different, but Vitamin C is Vitamin C regardless), so every other company could cite that study to sell their product without paying a thing to hold the study. It just doesn’t make good business sense to even try that, not to mention having thousands of herbs, vitamins, and minerals to have to do that on.
Yeah, that’s a long explanation, but it’s almost like they are set up to fail by the way clinical studies were first set up… not just that they had to be scientifically proven, but they had to be large enough and justifiable enough to be too expensive to justify for non-pharmaceutical companies. Some may call that biased in and of itself and some may put more into it and make it a conspiracy… but part of it is our culture, I suppose. I hope I helped!

I can also tell you from personal experience that while anybody can write, add to or edit an entry in Wiki, it is heavily patrolled by mainstreamers who make sure to delete or edit most information about alternativs to mainstream medicine. You see some of the same types here, but thankfully they just naysay and rant for the most part and appear to have limited control.
In August of 2007, Caltech graduate Virgil Griffith launched “Wikipedia Scanner” which offers users a searchable database that ties millions of anonymous Wikipedia edits to organizations where those edits apparently originated, by cross-referencing the edits with data on who owns the associated block of internet IP addresses.
Not surprisingly, it was found that many of the edits on articles about mainstream and alternative medicine came from IP addresses of entities who had vested interests in the articles being edited, and that included drug companies, federal agencies and mainstream medicine advocates.
In one example, AstraZeneca deleted references to claims that taking Seroquel carries a risk for teenagers: they will be more likely thinking about harming or killing themselves when taking this drug. The deleter was a user of a computer shown to be registered to the drug company.
Such was also the case with a great many other entries. For example, on November 17th, 2005, an anonymous Wikipedia user deleted 15 paragraphs from an article on e-voting machine-vendor Diebold, excising an entire section critical of the company’s machines. As it turned out, the changes came from an IP address reserved for the corporate offices of Diebold itself.
