Doubt from Manish: “fax and scan” utility of windows 7?
I am trying to use fax utility of windows 7.
When I click on “new fax” after opening windows fax and scan, a message windows pops up and asks “Connect to fax modem”.
Is this fax modem a hardware piece or is it software ? If its hardware does it not come inbuilt with laptops ? If not, how can I install in in my laptop ? Can I connect it externally or has to be installed internally ?
How much does it cost ?
If I cannot connect this fax modem, how can I use “Fax and Scan” utility from windows 7 ?

To scan an image with Windows 7…Go to Start…All Programs….Windows photo Gallery….select the File Tab and select Import from Camera or Scanner.
If you want to use the Fax features then you need to plug your computer into a regular phone-jack…look for a jack on your computer that plugs into a normal phone jack or use the free online fax services like this…
