The computer with the printer in Win7 64-bit, the other is a laptop with Vista 32-bit. I’ve got the Win7 64-bit driver on the Win7 computer, and it prints, I’ve enabled printer sharing, but I can’t get the laptop to print on it, or to detect it for that matter. What might be the cause of this?

make sure you have “turned on network discovery” and turn-on “turn on file and printer sharing”.
To on/off go to :- control panel/network and sharing/advanced sharing settings(see on left side pane)/public current profile/turn-on/click on save changes.
1– install the printer
2– Select the “Properties” option after right-clicking on the New Printer icon in the printers and faxes console. Click on the “Sharing” tab and highlight “Share This Printer.
3– Install the printer on other network computers by opening the Printers and Faxes console. Click on “Add Printer” this will open the printer installation wizard. Click “Next” and select “Network Printer” before clicking “Next” again.
4– now browse printer(or search network device) when u get your printer, highlight it and click next.
5– print test page
