im afraid of seeing someone i know, or someone seeing me that knows me. or the cashier being awkward with me buying 2-3 packs of underwear.
might buy really late at night when barely anyones there.

No bro you don’t buy it late at night when no ones there bc then THAT would be awkward and it would look like you specifically went there when no one was there…. why are you scared to buy underwear in the 1st place? Unless their ugly and then you shouldn’t be buying them in the 1st place, if you feel stupid just buy like 2 other things so it’s not only underwear

why would someone you know make fun of you for wearing underwear? they all wear underwear too, and so does the cashier. plus, cashiers care less about what their customers buy.

Guys underwear are sexxy especially if they are boxer shorts.Only because the briefs are so plain.But tighty whities still look nice.

Unless you are buying tighty whites, underoos with Scooby Doo charactors, or plaid boxers that look like they were made out of leftover material from the lining a picnic basket, I don’t see what there is to be afraid of. It shouldn’t be any big deal. I feel your pain though. I’ve been there. I used to feel really awkward. It doesn’t bother me any more though.
Sometimes you can be discrete by purchasing several other items at the same time, such as some shirts or jeans, and then when you empty your shopping cart at the checkstand, put the underwear inbetween the other items. Then, while they’re ringing up your items, or while you’re waiting in line, grab a magazine and thumb through it, to get your mind off of it.
When it comes to confidence, sometimes you have to fake it before you make it. Go in there, look confident, maybe whistle to yourself while reading the magazine/waiting in line. If anyone stares at the items you’re purchasing, stare back at them, as if to yell, “WHAT??!!? The F___ you lookin’ at??!!”
Try to go to a checkstand that has a scanner. Usually with those, the cashier doesn’t even look twice. They just run the item over the scanner, “Beep!” and don’t pay it much mind. The ones to worry about are the registers where they have to examine each price tag and manually enter a big, long sku number.
You think buying underwear is awkward? Try buying a blow dryer, a straightener, or some hair styling products. It just so happens that some of the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever tried comes in bright, pink containers. I just grin and bear it, and use the above tricks I mentioned.
