If theres a nic card in your printer you can attach it to a router but you need to give it a static ip address, and connect it through a printer server box.

Are you talking about a printer attached to another computer through the router?

just go the the system properties and click on to allow the conncet remotely

Your printer definetely has an ethernet card, it has also an IP address (like your PC has), you said you know how to use ‘add printer wizard’;

So go there and in the first screen select the “Local printer attached to this computer..” option

, click next,
