Backdoor.Rsbot, is a trojan

horse that affects the

Windows operating system.

Once installed, Rsbot gives

remote hackers access to your computer. Hackers generally use this access to steal sensitive information, such as online banking passwords and Social Security numbers. Remove Rsbot and its variants from your system by loading Windows in Safe Mode with Networking and running

one of several free anti-malware programs. Here’s what to do:

1. Restart your computer, and as it boots up, press “F8″ repeatedly until the

“Windows Advanced Options Menu” appears.

2. Select “Safe Mode with

Networking” from the

“Windows Advanced Options Menu” and press “Enter.” Windows loads in Safe Mode with Networking.

3. Download one of several

free anti-malware programs. These include

Malwarebytes, Microsoft

Security Essentials and Avast! Free Antivirus, among others.

4. Launch the antimalware

program.

5. Run a “Full Scan” using the anti-malware program. The steps for doing this vary

depending on the

anti-malware program you

are using. For example, in Malwarebytes, click the

“Scanner” tab, select the

box next to “Perform Full

Scan” and click “Save”; in
